Canada Here I Come

Goodbye UK! See you again soon. After a couple of months of organising and running around I am finally on my way to Canada. I am writing this on the train to Gatwick airport. From there I fly direct to Vancouver, then hop on a Greyhound and a ferry to Vamcouver Island where I will meet up with Richard and Karina. After being so busy it is strange to sit still!

Cardiff peoples at my leaving Ploughmans – going to miss you all!

As I prepare to leave I have realised two things 1/ I am not very good at saying goodbye to the people I care about 2/ the fact I am moving to Canada REALLY hasn’t sunk in yet! (I am planning on writing more about my experiences and lessons learned whilst preparing to move away when I get more time)

Just about to leave – Tusker wants to come too!

Looking out of the train window at the morning light hitting the hills I know I’m going to miss a lot of things here in the UK. But for now adventure awaits!

This is going to be fun…

Hi, call me Joe. I am a traveller, a runner, a beer drinker, a film lover, a web developer, a hiker and not a very good darts player. I am from the UK, have a BSc in Computer Science from Cardiff University and currently live in Canada.
